Brewster, Orleans, Chatham, and Harwich Community Emergency Response Team

Organizational Statement:

BOCH CERT was organized in 2019 under the authority of the Fire & Police Departments, emergency managers and agencies the of the individual communities stated and FEMA

Mission Statement:

To do the greatest good for the greatest number of people

Vision Statement:

To build a safer future through effective partnerships with local government, emergency services, private sector, and volunteer agencies and the communities of Brewster, Orleans, Chatham and Harwich. To assist in saving lives, protecting property, and helping reduce the effects of disasters through preparedness, prevention, planning, response, and recovery activities

Service Statement

To unite, train and prepare Community Emergency Response Team members through CERT programs and to provide a forum of cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration with the 4towns of the regional team. To work in support of and with other professional emergency responders before, during and after natural and man-made disasters, and extreme emergency situations



David Miller is a retired Firefighter and lives in South Chatham with his wife.

Deputy Coordinator: Operations

Corey Barker is a retired US Navy Commander and resides in Brewster.

Deputy Coordinator: Training

Joanna Danias retired from her 25-year career in Management/Training and is working on her second career in Human Services.
